IdSay

IdSay (short name for “I would say”, or “I dare say”) is a Question Answering system whose aim is to answer open domain general knowledge questions automatically by extracting the answers from a large collection of texts. The answers are based on what is written in the texts explicitly. This means the system works according to a purely extractive Question Answering paradigm, in which no reasoning or deduction is used.
Currently IdSay uses only the Portuguese language, but we intend to introduce other languages, for instance English, and to explore multilingual issues.
