The icake Linux Chinese language project was started in 2011 to provide Chinese support to Linux Puppy English systems and currently covers these Linux systems: Debian Dog, Debian-Live, KNOPPIX, linuxmint, MX Linux, Porteus, Puppy Linux, Slackware Live, and Slitaz.
Functions:
Starting from an English iso Linux system, the icake Linux Chinese packs will provide 2 levels of Chinese language support:
1. half-Chinese language support
With a Chinese font file and a Chinese input method platform, your system will be able to display and input Chinese. All user graphical interfaces are still in English.
2. Full-Chinese language support
This is level 1 plus most user graphical interfaces (desktop icon labels, menus, sub-menus, mouse move over popup tooltips) will be displayed in Chinese. You have a choose of using either Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese.
