IAR - Internet Account Replication
Replicates POSIX user credentials between hosts. Like NIS but easier and with Internet support.

Build from source for other systems.

Relies on GNU nsswitch.conf integration. The design intent is for ease of use.
The 'iar' package is CPU architecture independent. The server mode should run on any POSIX system, and the client on any system with GNU libc (for NSS) support. ie. Linux, GNU/kFreeBSD, Hurd. It would be trivial to add client support to other *nix operating systems.
Prebuilt helper applications x86 64-bit packages are available in .deb and RPM format.
