Hydrogen

This was one of the first pieces of software I downloaded when I was learning to make beats. Now I use MPC software primarily but recently returned to Hydrogen because it's perfect for sketching quick sequences and has all the export options: wav, flac, stems, MIDI. I'm planning to make some kits for top percussion on my house and Latin inspired tracks. Fonts that can't be adjusted are small for my old eyes lol, but otherwise a really solid piece of software.

I think this is the best and easiest drum pattern editor I've ever seen. The UI is excellent, clear and intuitive, the feature set is impressive, and the sound quality out of the box is great. I use it all the time in my jam track recordings (PLUG: "Purple Smiley Rock Guitar Backing Tracks" on Youtube, if you want to hear what can be done with the tool). Definitely don't want to use anything else, and absolute respect to the devs coding this. Proper altruistic madmen, thank god there are people like this in the world! :)

I play drums and basses. Hydrogen is my best drum machine. Love this and only use this drum machine program.

Like it, but I have a problem... I can not save a song! I can not export a .WAV I have tried for several days, but can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Even if I open a demo, and then say "Save" it just gives a pop-up "could not save song". I would like to compose some drum patterns for songs, but if I cannot save my work ?
