The new release of httpfs was renamed to httpf2 because it behaves slightly differently from the older version. You should be able to build and run httpfs2 on Linux (Debain Lenny, Squeeze or later) and OS X (10.4). You will need libfuse to build httpfs, asciidoc to build the man page and fuse-utils to mount fuse filesystems as non-roor on Linux. As of 0.1.5 SSL is enabled when GNUTLS 2.10 or higher is present. pkg-config is used to detect libraries. Please note that the examples on the project home page apply to the old httpfs. The syntax may differ slightly.
