Hoosns is an ultra simple DNS server. It looks to a 'hosts' file and serves the name/IP mappings found there. Hoosns will respond to A, AAAA and PTR requests. It could be useful in circumstances where a test or temporary name server is required.

User Reviews

  • This simple name server actually works quite well, and has the ability to handle a surprising number of domains. The documentation is a little vague, but once you understand the process you can set it and let it run. I can see only one non-performance improvident. Well done ! THANK YOU!
