HiPixel is a native macOS application that uses artificial intelligence to upscale images and improve their resolution. Built with SwiftUI, it incorporates Upscayl's AI models to enhance photographs, illustrations, and digital artwork. Users can choose from four built-in enhancement models or import compatible custom models. The application supports GPU acceleration, double processing, and optional test-time augmentation for improved results. Its drag-and-drop interface enables automatic image processing, while batch operations handle multiple files efficiently. Folder monitoring and Apple Shortcuts integration simplify repetitive enhancement workflows. HiPixel also includes an image comparison viewer, EXIF metadata preservation, adjustable output formats, and integration with external applications through URL schemes.
