HikePreparator program. Publication: 2022.03 Purpose: The program is used to view and edit tracks and additional points (wpt) defined in files in GPX format at the background of maps available on the Internet (or available locally). It is also used to prepare a hike based on the track - calculate the length, time of passage, add comments, divide the track into stages, prepare a report on (selected) track points, etc. It also has a module for a map printing (also with the track(s)) ,also rotated, as well as the ability to semi-automatically print a series of maps along the track. License. It is an open source program, released under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE v3 license Installation: Please unpack the zip file in the target folder. The installation package includes: HikePreparator - program ExtraTools - some tools programs - can be userfull for: PHgm2Zip - a program for grouping files with attitude data into zip files recognized by the HikePreparator TileFoldersManagement - a program for converting local databases of tiles in Z, X, Y layout to quadkey layout and to put tiles with quadkey names in the appropriate subdirectories TilesPlusMinus- a program for generating tiles in the +1 or -1 zoom in the local database HelpPL.html - User manual for the program in Polish HelpEN.html - Program manual in English COPYING.txt - License text (English version) Optionally - in packages with sources: source.zip - program and tools sources(program was writen in Lazarus/freepascal). In the Windows distribution, programs have the .exe extension All data / parameters are stored in 3 files with parameters created automatically by the program in the folder where the program was saved: LastGPXFileList.xml HikePreparator.csv HikePreparator.xml (on linux: .HikePreparator saved in the user's home folder) When you run the program for the first time, it also creates a subfoder /tiles in which it stores map files downloaded from the Internet. The map storage location (folder) can be changed in the program parameter settings available as one of the menu items. Usage: Before using the program please read the HELP.HTML file !!! All program functions and the way of use are described in the above-mentioned file. You can also set the display of the above-mentioned file after pressing the F1 (HELP) key in the program. Tools programs can be useful if you create your own tile databases.
