Go2TV is a free, open-source media casting application designed to stream multimedia content to smart TVs and Chromecast devices. It uses DLNA, UPnP, and Chromecast protocols to discover and connect to compatible receivers on a local network. Users can cast videos, music, images, internet radio stations, and supported live streams without configuring a separate media server. The software provides playback controls, playlists, subtitles, and media seeking. It supports FFmpeg transcoding for converting media formats that receiving devices cannot play directly. Additional capabilities include torrent streaming, experimental desktop casting, and browser-based remote controls. Available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android, Go2TV provides graphical and command-line interfaces for media streaming.
