FreeBSD Ports Global Farm (globalfarm) will contain 5-6 ports (i.e. programs for FreeBSD ports sytem), 4-5 of them are for the central server system and one for the clients. All together this system is to solve the problem of testing the ports and building binary packages from the ports for all platform.

At the moment I plan only to make a schematic design and not actually do the coding. Hopefully this will inspire some other developers to do the implementation.

Expected number of clients is very high (thousands), therefore the server part should be scalable to really high load. To facilitate this, it is to be split into small tasks so that they can be done on separate computers (or on the same computer if needed and possible).
