  • On a MacBook Pro running Mavericks, this filesystem is too slow to be usable. It is also very "jerky", and even hangs for up to a minute at a time in the middle of a simple filename completion operation. Somebody is simply wasting a lot of other people's time making them suffer while coming to these obvious conclusions!
  • Thanks for Fuse-ext2, it's wonderful!
  • fuse-ext2 works but is very slow (I get some 7 MB/s reading and 1 MB/s writing via USB 2.0). If you have the choice, better use Apple's HFS+ on the external drive, which is much faster (I get some 30 MB/s both reading and writing, both on Mac and Linux). HFS+ is supported by Linux mostly out-of-the-box. To get write access even to a journaled partition on Ubuntu, install support via 'sudo apt-get install hfsprogs' and when the drive is mounted (e.g., automatically), re-mount it writable using 'sudo mount -o remount, force,rw /mount/point'

  • A must have, Very useful tool. Thanks!
  • great software, fast and stable!
  • Very needed for any tux- and mac- lover! I'd really like if performances were a little better (when spotlight stars indexing any ext3-4 file system everything becomes slow) and if we could write on ext4 file systems. Anyway, it's great that we can finally read files on ext2-3-4 partitions!

  • No R/W support for mounted drives/images!
  • Works great. Version 0.0.7 makes it complete for all practical purposes.
  • nice. I'd love if the development would go further quicklier. hope the project is not dead.
