ForgePress is an open-source, asynchronous Rust and WebAssembly (WASI) site core and CMS engine engineered as a modern, high-performance alternative to monolithic PHP CMS architectures.
Built with an asynchronous Axum v0.7 web runtime powered by Tokio background task scheduling, ForgePress achieves sub-millisecond response latencies and memory safety. It features WebAssembly plugin sandboxing via Wasmtime with WIT interface contracts (WASI Preview 2) and embedded Rhai scripting bindings for real-time event filtering.
Database interactions are decoupled and optimized using atomic PostgreSQL JSONB block arrays to completely eliminate N+1 relational query bottlenecks.
