filterlists

Filterlists is an open-source collection of curated content-blocking filters designed to improve browsing privacy, security, and usability. It primarily targets uBlock Origin while providing instructions for AdGuard, Brave, and other compatible ad blockers. The repository includes specialized lists for tracking prevention, website annoyances, third-party resources, and unwanted interface elements. Its Privacy Essentials collection complements default filters with additional privacy protections. Click-to-load rules prevent certain embedded media players from connecting to external services until activated. Users can select enhanced, optimized, or lightweight configurations according to their preferences. The project emphasizes minimizing redundant rules and avoiding excessive blocking that could disrupt websites.
