Here you can find instructions to use File Organizer. ************************************************************* Some definitions : ********************************************** In this APP, a KeyWord is a word associated to a certain folder. The idea is to use this KeyWord in the title of the document you want to organize and File Organizer will automatically send the document to the associated folder. A "Destination" is the folder where you want to send your files using a keyword. ATTENTION: File Organizer organizes the files in the directory selected in "Start using the program" menu of the application. If File Organizer continues running, it will organize every new file added to the directory. ************************************************************* App instructions: *********************************************** 1) Installation: You can either install File Organizer using the setup file or run it directly using the executable provided. It is highly recommended to install File Organizer with the setup file since it runs much more faster. 2) If you need to create some folders, File Organizer includes this option too. Before starting to use File Organizer, you have to create KeyWords first. This can be done by clicking on "Create KeyWords" button on the homepage. After adding all the necessary KeyWords for organizing, you can save them in a file by clicking on "Save Current KeyWords" button on the "Create KeyWords" window. **Tips: --- It is better to save different KeyWord files for different purposes : for example, if you want to organize school documents, you can create a file of KeyWords named "school". --- Make sure you have put a keyword on the titles of the files you want to organize before running File Organizer. Now you can start using File Organizer. If you want to modify KeyWords in a saved file of KeyWords, you can click on "Edit KeyWords" in the homepage. By doing so, you have to choose the file to modify, and Add or Remove KeyWords. File Organizer creates an empty folder named "Unclassified" in the directory where the files to organize are. If any of the files has no keyword in the title, then it will be automatically placed under "Unclassified" folder. If "Unclassified" folder is empty after the organization, then it will be deleted when File Organizer stops running. You will also notice the creation of an empty file named "initializer.txt". This file is being created to trigger the organization process and it is deleted as soon as it is created. If you wish to delete File Organizer, you have to click on "Clear All APP Data". It will delete all folders associated to this app.
