FaceGate Files

Enhancements

• Multi-face enrollment — Enroll up to 3 different faces so family or coworkers can also unlock apps
• Camera picker — Choose between your built-in camera and an external USB webcam
• Smart timer mode — Pick how the auto-lock timer counts: from your last unlock, or from when FaceGate detects you stepped away
• Per-app timer settings — Each locked app can have its own timer mode
• Emergency Kill Shortcut toggle — Disable the shortcut in Settings if you keep triggering it by accident
• Simpler enrollment — Just look straight, left, and right (no more head tilt)

Bug Fixes

• Lost focus — Lock screen windows no longer lose focus after authenticating with Touch ID or password
• Crash on rapid lock cycles — Fixed a rare crash when rapidly locking and unlocking apps
• Brightness stuck at max — Display brightness is no longer left at maximum after closing the enrollment window
• Security hardening — Face unlock is more secure with constant-time password checking
• Sparkle update help — Updates now show a helpful alert if macOS uninstall protection blocks the update
