ExifTool by Phil Harvey
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
ExifTool is a platform-independent Perl library plus a full-featured
command-line application for reading, writing and editing meta information
in a wide variety of file types. ExifTool supports many different metadata
formats including EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, JFIF, and more, as well as the maker
notes of many digital cameras.
The full ExifTool distribution requires Perl 5.004 or later to run. The
Windows executable is a stand-alone application that does not require Perl.
A Mac OS X package is also provided for the convenience of Mac users. (The
Windows and OS X packages do not contain the full documentation and support
files that are part of the full distribution.)
Image-ExifTool-#.##.tar.gz - Full ExifTool distribution (requires Perl)
exiftool-#.##.zip - Windows executable (Perl not required)
ExifTool-#.##.dmg - Mac OS X package (you already have Perl)
Also available is a utility that repairs Nikon NEF images which have been
corrupted by downloading with older versions of the Nikon software:
fix_corrupted_nef-#.#.zip - Mac/Linux version
fix_corrupted_nef_win-#.#.zip - Windows version
