  • Got it working on Ubuntu 20.04 with some reading (EPL-6100L). Read the readme's and run ./configure, make, make install etc. Install foomatic-db. Create a "/usr/share/cups/model/foomatic-ppds/Epson/" directory for the driver. Run "foomatic_scripts/install_debian" provided in the download. Copy "ijs_server_epsonepl" to "/usr/bin". I switched to the fancy desktop (I normally use i3) which walks you through some stuff more nicely (printer setup dialogs and gui system tools, feedback messages etc) when detecting the printer and asking for stuff. I think that should work, looking through my history. It was a bit of a jumbled process when I did it, but those were the gotchas I came across. If all else fails, I had been running it on an XP virtual machine through Oracle VMWare on a Windows 10 boot till now. Excellent work, thanks to the authors!
