Encrust now models as well as it slices: combine models, write on them, cut them with joints and press textures where you paint. It also speaks Russian and knows your printer's locked settings.
Modelling
- Combine models. Pick two or more, move them into place, then Union them, Subtract the others from the first, or Intersect them to keep what they share. Closed models keep their sharp edges. (#136)
- Text. Click a model to write on it, raised or sunk, in several lines, in any font installed on your computer. Letters can follow a curved surface.
- Relief has three modes: Texture, Text and Combine.
- Twelve built-in textures (leather, carbon, honeycomb, wood, stone and more), plus your own picture. Invert it, smooth it, or press it both ways about mid grey.
- Paint where the texture goes. Press it only on the faces you painted. Faces that look at the plate or straight up can be left flat, and a hollowed model keeps its cavity.
- Join the halves of a cut with dowels, pins, magnets or a key. Every separate piece of the cut face gets its own, placed as far apart as it allows.
- Split into parts. Parts that touch only at a corner or an edge become separate models. Mark a thin part and Split cuts it off where it narrows.
- Shaped drain holes. Holes and channels can be round or a polygon, turned so the roof of a side hole prints without sagging.
- Plugs. Every hole gets a plug on the plate beside the model, narrower by the gap you set, so it closes flush.
- Bottom through. Hollow a model and open its floor, so the resin runs out without a drain hole.
- Moulds no longer offer infill or a solid wall, since a mould takes neither.
- Ctrl-click adds a model to the selection in every tool.
- Pick the cut face. Click the surface a cut opens up and use the tools on it.
- Progress and Cancel. Hollowing, combining, cutting and pressing show the step they are on. Cancel stops inside the model it is on.
- The command line can do all of this too, except the parts that need your brush or your hand.
Printers and resins
- Printers lock what the machine decides. A setting your printer's own slicer will not let you change is no longer offered. On the ELEGOO Saturn 4 Ultra, Saturn 4 Ultra 16K and Mars 5 Ultra there are no lift settings, and print time counts no lift. (#133)
- Take a resin from a sliced file. Press Import on a printer's resins and pick a file made for it. You get its exposure, bottom layers, waits, lifts, speeds and light power, wherever the format holds them. (#131)
- Take a resin from a profile saved as
.cfgxor.ini. - Open a sliced file as a model. Its layers are rebuilt into a mesh you can move, support again or cut for another printer.
- First setup. While the plate has no printer or no resin, a notice says which and opens Machine and resin. A file dropped on the window is imported as a printer or a resin.

.ctbis read, and written for a printer whose profile asks for it.
Language
- Russian. The window follows your system's first language, or the one you pick in Settings → General. Anything not yet translated shows in English. (#132)

Windows
- Store updates. The Store version tells you when the Store has a new one, and its button opens Encrust there.
⚡ Faster
- Hollowing, combining, cutting and pressing use every core of your computer, and large models prepare much sooner. (#139)
- Pressing a texture on painted faces takes as long as the painted area, not the model.
🐛 Fixed
- Photon
.pwslayers are read correctly. - A model's hole is carried through the wall into the cavity, however shallow you set it.
- Infill and blockers are hidden while a wall grows outward, where they do nothing.
- A result that arrives late lands only on the model and plate it was made for, and is dropped, with a notice, if you moved or undid the model meanwhile.
- Sliced files from the
.sl1family fade the bottom layers into the normal exposure from the first layer. - Cancel stops a long press mid-model instead of finishing it unseen.
- Faulty 3MF files and font collections that unpack to something enormous are refused instead of freezing the window.
