Auto-orient now checks its answers by trial, and Encrust comes to the Microsoft Store.
Auto-orient
- Poses are proven, not guessed. The best few candidate angles are trial-printed layer by layer before one is picked, so the supports, pull and print height you are told about are the real ones. (#127)
- Four presets: fewest supports, least peel, shortest print, or auto, which balances the three and never lets one get far worse. Pick it beside the Auto-orient button.
- Press Auto-orient again to stand the model in the next good pose, without searching again. The notice shows each pose's supports, pull and height, green where it beats the one before and red where it loses.
- Lift field. Set how high a model stands off the plate; Auto-orient keeps that height for poses on supports.
- Fits the build volume. Only poses that fit your printer, supports included, are offered.
- Orienting a model works the same in the window and on the command line.
Windows
- Microsoft Store. Install Encrust from the Store, with no first-launch warning. (#128)
π Fixed
- The Windows window opens cleanly, with no console behind it and no need to install the Visual C++ runtime.
- A model seated on its raft stays on it, and is lifted off when you tip it by hand.
- Editing the plate raft works the same whichever model is picked.
