0.2.0 (2026-10-08)
Encrust runs in three places now: the desktop window, the encrust command line and a
browser build. Models hollow out with drain holes you can see through the shell, a project
reopens on the plate it was saved with, and a printer is only offered files it can accept.
β¨ New
- app, cli, web: slicing runs headless from the
encrustcommand line β plates,estimate,convert,--jsonoutput, exit codes, Ctrl-C, shell completions and man pages β and the whole thing also runs in a browser, offline (#6) (37c1c7f) - core-volume,app,cli: a model can be hollowed with drain holes, so resin leaves instead of being trapped; the shell turns see-through in the viewport to show where the resin would sit (#112) (c8fcb9f)
- core-geometry,app: holes in a broken mesh are closed on request, and a model counts as watertight only when its faces agree on which side is out; the plate list shows what each model is (#115) (6644462), (a64e356)
- project: a project file keeps the arranged plate, so reopening it no longer re-bakes every model (#114) (1c09939)
- render: a section cut shows a solid capped surface instead of looking into a hollow shell (71fe869)
- app: tool settings survive a restart, and each field undoes on its own (bc01e94)
- app: a resin removed from a printer stays in the shared pool instead of being deleted, so a measured exposure is not lost with the machine; it is deleted for good from the pool, and Esc closes the Settings screen (#117) (d593eb1)
- app: long jobs show progress, and closing a file closes its plate with it (3546370)
- app, report: a bug report is filled in from a sheet and handed over as markdown, with addresses and hostnames stripped out first (0555784), (dd6507a)
π Fixed
- core-volume,core-slicer,app: a hollowed model slices cleanly β the cavity stays sealed, layers no longer jump where it starts, and a mirrored model is no longer inside out (7cdade6)
- core-volume,app,core-engine: a scaled model is hollowed to the wall thickness and infill that were set, not to the values of the original size (792c68d)
- core-slicer,core-geometry,core-volume: slicing holds up on bad input: geometry below the plate is ignored, degenerate triangles no longer break a layer, and a plane passing exactly through a vertex or an edge still closes its contour (e0a9a07), (47ef22f)
- cli,core-volume,core-engine: Ctrl-C during hollowing or slicing stops cleanly, and a strict run leaves no half-written file behind (99c244a)
- cli,core-pipeline,core-slicer,format-chitu,format-anycubic: every layer carries its own exposure, so a bottom-to-normal ramp is kept when a file is converted to another format (74e611f)
- core-pipeline,format-svgx,encrust-app: only the output formats a selected printer can actually read are offered (868074a)
- net-sdcp,printer-link,app,cli: a file sent to a printer can be started from Encrust, and the status shown is the one the printer reports (#113) (f772046)
- printer-profiles,app,cli: resin profiles ship with no invented exposure numbers β they have to be measured; a duplicated profile records what it came from, and a part is raised before supports are attached (#116) (6b27403)
- core-analysis,core-slicer,core-plate,cli: a model report no longer counts the same problem twice (ba70d2b)
- app: keyboard shortcuts go to the focused window, and a click goes to the panel on top (2b1d7a4)
