EnAlgaeData

EnAlgae (Energetic Algae) is a 4 year Strategic initiative of the INTERREG IVB North West Europe (NWE) Programme, combining the expertise and resources of 19 Partners plus Observers encompassing 7 EU Member States. An aim of the initiative is to address the current lack of verifiable information on microalgal and macroalgal productivity via the exchange of best practice and corresponding datasets for algal biomass production and utilisation. Due to the large geographical area covered by the initiative a web-based solution has been chosen for data-exchange. EnAlgaeData offers an integrated solution based upon a Liferay portal server aiming at facilitating communication between researchers, import of standardised datasets and transformation of these datasets to formats specific to a subsequent statistical analysis.
