Electron Boilerplate is a starter template for building cross-platform desktop applications with Electron. It provides a preconfigured project structure so developers can begin with packaging, updates, menus, and common application behavior already addressed. electron-builder is configured to create distributable builds for macOS, Linux, and Windows. Continuous integration can build releases automatically, while new versions can be published through GitHub Releases. The template includes silent auto-updates, configuration management, context menus, and user-friendly handling of unhandled errors. Its application menu follows native operating-system interface conventions. The repository was archived in May 2024 and is now read-only.
