This file is a VMWare virtual machine image of InstantContiki-2.7. 
It is running Ubuntu 12.04 32bit, and contains all relevant toolchains for Contiki development.
The differences from the official InstantContiki image are small:
1. Updated the compiler for MSP430 & MSP430x
2. Installed Foren6
3. Did some small configurations to make it easier to connect motes.

For logging in use: 
username: user
password: rich2014

You would need Lzma support for decompressing the file.
You could use the open source 7-zip.org software which is available for Windows.
