The FP7 EDGI project connects different Distributed Computing Infrastructures, particularly desktop- service grid and cloud computing resources. The project created the EDGI Infrastructure which enables users to run their applications on different DCIs. The infrastructure consists of several portals, 3G Bridge, the EDGI Application Repository and DCI resources. The EDGI Application Repository manages application descriptions, and their implementations and configurations.
