✨ Highlights

This release focuses on better controller identification, more reliable setup for USB-only users, and clearer troubleshooting around upgrades and device detection.

  • Improved DS3 adapter identification by classifying PS2 USB adapters using their USB packet-size signature, helping distinguish supported and unsupported devices more accurately.
  • Added a DS3 diagnostic capture package to make it easier to collect the details needed for troubleshooting adapter and driver issues.
  • USB-only users can now skip the initial Bluetooth setup flow, avoiding unnecessary configuration steps when Bluetooth is not in use.
  • Bundled the signed x64 vicius updater v1.17.0, keeping the updater experience consistent and better aligned with current driver install/update workflows.
  • Added a comprehensive controller diagnostic export that sweeps the driver USB stack and captures the information needed to diagnose controller issues more effectively.
  • In-place driver upgrades now warn clearly when a reboot is still pending, reducing confusion after an update.
  • ControlApp now treats the shared Feature 0x01 signature as inconclusive, helping avoid false matches when identifying controllers.

These updates make device detection, setup, and troubleshooting more reliable for users working with supported adapters and in-place driver updates.
