  • I don't know if any previous version ever worked; Yes, it has to be, because it is talked about on many pages... But the current version definitely doesn't work. Lots of missing DLL's (I gave up after the fifth manually obtained DLL) and after that at some point "no Qt platform plugin could be initialized" Too bad, but the number is probably dead now...
  • With the latest release 2.2.1 DREAM has become a NIGHTMARE. (Missing dlls, qt platform) and impossible to connect to a Virtual Cable - dream.ini sound card device settings not working / crashing .......)
  • Unable to get it to work. Just get error message saying "The code execution cannot proceed because wpcap.dll cannot be found Reinstalling the program may fix the problem. " I have done this 4 times and it doesn't. Consequently can only give one star at the moment.
  • Seemed good until v2.2 then it just turned into a s*** show
  • I"M HAPPY GOOD DREAM ONLY DREAM 2.1.1
  • Missing qt modules. Will not run. Even after fully installing Qt.

  • I cannot run this program. During try for running it says: "This application failed to start because no QT plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." Any idea how to fix it?
  • Looking forward to a version without the need of compiling TX AAC DLLs Great Program!
  • I am using the "latest" windows version dream-2.1.1-win32-svn808-df.zip Mostly it works great. But the -I <s> and --snddevin <s> parameters are completely ignored! I would open a ticket but that seems to be forbidden!
  • I like this software, but the problem is that it requires a special accessory or piece of equipment called a 455 kHz : 12 kHz down converter, which uses a raw AM IF 455 kHz output signal and the down converter down converts the MF frequency of 455 kHz and brings it down to a VLF frequency of 12 kHz for the Dream software to be able to decode the digital radio signal. Also it requires a special file for the activate the codec for to receive DRM. These down converters require a skill to build yourself or to get from some where who knows what they are. Most receivers have 455 kHz IF outputs, but no output with a 12 kHz IF out.
  • Like a fairy tale princess, this is beautiful but useless. When I Launch it and tune into a station it comes up with" No Codec Available" Which is a bit weird because the old version works fine. Help Facility is an Icon that says what this.

  • Great project, thanks a ton for posting
  • Now that DReaM compiles with newer versions of QWT and QT installed, it'll run natively on newer versions of GNU/Linux. The developers deserve a round of applause. Because of the development of DReaM, manufacturers of transceivers capable of TX and RX DRM, and the persistence of other knowledgeable people promoting the capabilities of DRM, DRM has a bright future. Should you listen to the naysayers that hiss prematurely about DRM's demise when statistics on SF show a steady increase in downloads of DReaM over the past year and will likely continue to grow steadily into the future.
