DevuanLMDE5 Files

before following instructions understand I am not responsible for your actions following the steps just providing some info and files to assist you in building your own LMDE5 system based of Devuan instead of debian

to create Devuan LMDE5 from these directions you need a bootable my 2 zip files, a live cd with gui and download
devuan_chimaera_4.0.0_amd64_netinstall.iso from https://www.devuan.org/get-devuan

I assume you know how to do steps and have common sense 

1.  install devuan with all options DISABLED for gui and utilities use space bar and arrows, select sysvinit as init, and dont forget to install boatloader to harddrive

2. boot from live cd
- copy devuantransformlmde5.zip and unzip files into your home directory
- as root replace /etc/apt with the directories from aptdevuanlmde5.zip,this file contains entire directory of etc/apt and files from my trial system

3. a. boot into devuan install and run sudo apt update  and if files boot in right place no errors
	b. run in terminal transform.sh and as long as its executable it should download and install packages to get a usable LMDE5 system based of of devuan
	
4. reboot and it should boot into gui login to stem if not login and run startx
