✨ New

• Equalizer — 10 bands, preamp and 8 presets (Bass Boost, Vocal Boost, Rock, Pop, Classical, Dance, Podcast, Flat). Your own tuning is saved. Open it with Ctrl+E.
• Volume levelling evens out loud action and quiet dialogue; audio output switches between stereo, mono, left and right; and an A/V sync slider fixes out-of-sync audio.
• Crop (12 ratios) and deinterlace for old TV recordings. The Fill aspect ratio now actually fills the screen.
• Chapters — jump between chapters with Ctrl+← / Ctrl+→, or pick one from the menu.
• Works like a proper Windows player:
• Shows up in Open with, and in Settings ▸ Apps ▸ Default apps so you can make it your default (Set as default player… in the menu takes you straight there)
• Right-click a video → Add to Darshan Player playlist; right-click a folder → Play with Darshan Player
• Recent files on the taskbar right-click menu
• Select several videos and open them together: they go into one window, with the first playing and the rest queued
• Your playlist comes back when you reopen the player, and song and video durations show in the list.
• The download icon in the title bar opens this page if you ever want to update by hand.

🐛 Fixed

• Keyboard shortcuts stopped working in fullscreen — including F to leave it.
• The fullscreen control bar sometimes stayed on screen; the playlist button did nothing in fullscreen.
• Opening a folder added the folder itself to the playlist instead of the videos inside it.
• The player could appear as two icons on the taskbar when pinned.
• You're no longer offered "resume" for something you'd already finished watching.

⌨️ Shortcut changes

• Subtitle delay: H / J (−/+100 ms), Ctrl+H to reset
• Cycle aspect ratio: Z

ℹ️ Good to know

• The very first launch after installing can take up to ~20 seconds while Windows scans the new files. After that it opens in about 1–2 seconds.
• This build isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn on the first install. Click More info → Run anyway. Automatic updates don't show this warning.
• Nothing is changed in your Windows defaults unless you choose Darshan Player yourself in Settings.
