This is a quick README for installing the 4.0 CVW Solaris client The package for this client comes as a Solaris package. To install the client, do the following steps: 1) Save the package to a temporary directory, then uncompress and untar: uncompress -c < cvw-Solaris-client-4.0.tar.Z | tar xvf - 2) From the same directory, use pkgadd (as root) to install the software: pkgadd -d `pwd` The program will display the package that will be installed, followed by several questions to configure the software. Once the script has completed, the client is ready to run. Two files that may need to be configured for your particular environment are /opt/CVW/mime-db and /opt/CVW/runtime/bin/ns.sh. Note: By default, the client is installed in /opt/CVW. To change this or any other options, see pkgadd(1M) 3) From the installation directory, start the client: startcvw server.cvw
