Corange is a compact cross-platform game engine written in pure C using SDL and OpenGL. It provides reusable systems for assets, user interfaces, entities, rendering, and game-oriented application structure. Its renderer uses a modern deferred-rendering approach rather than a purely fixed-function graphics pipeline. Included demonstrations cover shaders, shadows, skeletal animation, terrain, platforming, collision detection, and water-like surfaces. More experimental demos explore OpenCL and OpenGL interoperability, procedural noise, metaballs, and tessellation shaders. The project can be compiled on Windows with MinGW and on Linux with SDL2 development libraries. It is primarily useful for graphics experimentation, engine study, and lightweight native game projects.
