The container project provides Apache Maven driven RPM templates to create working deployments of common services, like Apache Tomcat and Apache HTTP Server.

Configuration is packaged into RPMs, just as code is, and deployed the same way.

These configurations are versioned, packaged, tagged and released like code is, and are rolled forward and back to and from production as necessary.

The aim of this project is to provide standards templates to achieve this, built from Maven and standard Maven plugins to Maven best practice.
