The configuration grabber (configgrab for short) fetches a list of devices and retreives the configuration from them.

The tool is targeted towards routers and other remote devices that do not contain powerful utilities like rsync.

  • Supports finding nodes via generic HTTP Post and regex (Web Page, XML API, REST, etc)
  • Supports finding nodes in flat files (CSV, XML, etc) using regex

  • Tested on Alcatel 5620 SAM-O interface
  • Tested on Alcatel OMNI 6850, 6855, 9702 switches using sftp
  • Tested on Alcatel 7705 and 7750 routers using scp
  • Uses the spring configuration files
