This release contains major updates implemented during the Spring 2017 semester, including:

  • Use xarray package for working with gridded datasets and model output
  • Use the new RRTMG radiation model available in climlab v0.5 and up.
  • Entirely new lecture on Radiative-Convective Equilibrium
  • New material on the radiative effects of clouds
  • Generate and display animations interactively with matplotlib.animation (uses ffmpeg under the hood)
  • Format all lecture notes for slide presentations with RISE

Plus many more small enhancements and corrections.
