This project just aims to be a simple chess board. You can do whatever you want with pieces (even make a piece eat a king if you want !!!) : the purpose is just to provide a "magnetic" chess board on computer. But all moves are verified.

Also with some facilities : history manager, so that you can go back and rewrite the game history !!!

Features

  • Move pieces by drag and drop : move a piece from a board cell to another or import a new piece from the store panel.

  • This is AWESOME PERFECT! Hate playing against computer chess engines that have NO emotions? Playing against automated mathematical formulas isn't just not fun, but it destroys the most challenging part of a real game of human to human chess, PSYCHOLOGY. This simple Java script doesn't make suggestions, or encourage cheating while playing real people. It's an attractive board that allows you to save games. What I use it for is to save moves as a visual log as I text moves over my mobile phone. It's nice that each move is also displayed in algebraic notation, making it so simple to text it. I just wish it could be installed on my phone. I've looked hard for a board just like this and now I've found one...Thanks for this open source offering!
