This is an adventure which I found in an old Basic book "Creating Adventure Games on your Computer" by Tim Hartnell (1983) http://www.atariarchives.org/adventure/

I converted it to C++

It runs in a terminal window on Linux, Windows and MacOSX. Makefile is pretty simple.

There's a fair amount of comments in the code to ascertain the basic structure.
