There are multple files in this project and they contain my very best code that has been improved slowly for over a decade as I've found the time to work on my programming. By combining my experience with the C programming language and learning to use the SDL library starting in 2019, I managed to get a checkerboard on my computer screen.
Since then I slowly removed all SDL dependent code and have learned to write the bytes of image file formats such as PBM,BMP, and even TIFF! I also invented my own image format which will be part of it's own project soon.
There are many ways to draw a checkerboard but I'm proud of this because it was my own work and I understand WHY it works and that's the best part!
In the future I'm hoping to even write a book explaining why it works the way it does. Until then you can email me at chastitywhiterose@gmail.com if you have any questions about using the code. You'll need any valid C or C++ compiler that can use standard library functions.
