Welcome to the bwfembed2 project, the ultimate DeckLink tool for Linux!

With this software (and two BlackMagic DeckLink devices), you can embed audio and video tracks from files into SDI streams in realtime, capture or playback QuickTime video files and much more!

Originally developed for Czech Television (Czech public broadcasting company) as a tool for Audio description embedding support, it has evolved into a quite universal SDI stream manipulation software.

With its quite reasonable internal structure, it can easily be modified / extended for various other tasks, e.g. logo or time overlay. Feel free to contribute or fork!

Main purpose of this software is to provide a way of realtime audio file to SDI stream embedding using two DeckLink devices. It can be controlled using Sony 9-pin protocol or control a deck using the same interface. Other than that quicktime video capture and playback is supported.
