README -- BU2S versions prior to 3.2.x, and BU2S with Inversions

January 4, 2013 (updated September 16, 2016)

PLEASE NOTE: Current versions of "BU2S" are NOT archived here. For the most current version, please see the GitHub site for this project: https://github.com/flaxmans/bu2s .

Versions of BU2S code archived here (i.e., at SourceForge.net) are records of those used to generate data sets in three publications:

For a description of what BU2S is and what it does, please consult the publications above (see https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Samuel_Flaxman/publications for downloads of PDFs).

Data sets produced by the code for the first two publications above are available at DataDryad.org ( http://dx.doi.org/10.5061/dryad.kc596, http://dx.doi.org/10.5061/dryad.t894r )

Absolutely NO warranty is implied for any portion of the code. There are many options built into the code which have not yet been vetted. Only those options used in the publications mentioned above should be considered to be reliable at this point in time.
