Binary Eye

Binary Eye is an open-source, ad-free barcode and QR code scanning application for Android that emphasizes simplicity, broad format support, and user privacy by not storing or sending scanned data off the device. The app, inspired by the Zebra Crossing (ZXing) scanning library, supports a wide range of barcode formats such as QR Code, EAN, UPC, PDF417, Data Matrix, and more, and also offers barcode generation capabilities built into the same interface. BinaryEye works in both portrait and landscape orientations with a modern Material Design interface, making it intuitive to scan or create codes easily on nearly any Android device. Because it is open source under the MIT license, developers and users can inspect or extend the codebase, and the project doesn’t include ads, trackers, or unnecessary permissions, focusing on utility and user freedom.
