BACnet/SC is a secure, encrypted datalink layer in the BACnet specification. The BACnet/SC Reference Stack is a Java implementation of BACnet/SC which includes a sophisticated Test Bench that enables rapid creation of multiple nodes and hubs into simulate complex network environments.

The BACnet/SC was introduced in Addendum 135-2016bj. The complete BACnet Standard can be purchased at the ASHRAE bookstore.

In an effort to accelerate the adoption of BACnet/SC for the greater good of the building automation industry, BACnet International created the community-vetted implementation for BACnet/SC. This implementation is licensed for modification and production. We highly encourage all BACnet stack developers to freely incorporate this security solution.

BACnet International takes great pleasure in openly publishing our Reference Implementation for BACnet/SC (Addendum bj to ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 135-2016).
