AWP is a project that was initiated having the aim of providing very simple solution for academic webpages.
Thus, it is designed to be very lightweight, secure (as much as possible) and portable.
It is written in php and uses SQLite as database which gives it high performance and stability and keeps it simple and portable (due to the fact that it does not need a DBMS server) at the same time.
