AWA-Core is a software that communicates with PLCs, industrial equipments, transmitters and instruments in network. It provides tools to record history of every informations, every sensors and probes.
Once in a secured database, you can create trends, graphics, reports, mails, alarmes and many user treatments. AWA-Core contains tons of useful functions not provided in conventional manufacturer softwares.
AWA-Core is derived from several applications developed for Windows. Consisting of the Mini-Storian core, it also integrates OVA for the different "Expert System" and Artificial Intelligence type approaches.
SoMatic also provides its environment, its professional IDE and its relational database management.
The database format used in AWA-Core offers all the protections guaranteeing the highest ISO levels in terms of security and accessibility.
Thus the end user is assured that the data collected on the various PLCs and communicating equipment won't be altered by an application or a third party. AWA-Core offers you the guarantee of the fidelity of the recorded data.
AWA-Core is an application made for Industry: Engineers, process drivers, business managers, maintenance teams and operators.

2024.8 In Data-Extraction, the Time-stamp field has a colored rupture that allows a better view on date changing.
Few minor corrections and bug fixes.
Modbus communication semaphore has been improved. Better timing and optimization.
In the Data-Extraction table. Alarm states are shown now by changing the color of the cell. Red background and White writings.
A "Newsletter" button is added to the System-tab to let user subscribe to out Newsletter by using its own mail client.
2024.7 In the Data-Extraction window, a new button send the entire extracted data to an internal Spreadsheet document.
So you can use data and apply formulas of your own to the specified columns and extracted Tagnames.
Data extracted are enhanced with a 24 hours button. So you can compare values and graph with a day by day table and graph.
Graphics are enhanced with better scrolling options and views.

Report generator in Word documents is optimized for graphics insertion with better margins calculations.
2024.6 The macro field <report-xx> (where xx is the name of the Data-Extraction) has been improved.
During the making of a report, you can use a wizard to insert a macro field, including reports with the existing Data extracted values
The macro field <graph-xx> (where xx is the name of the Data-Extraction source) has been improved.
Improvements of the main Architecture view of the project, the user can access objects by double-clicking on a sprite.
On the scripts tab, reports can be generated in 3 different formats: DocX, PDF and HTML.
New macros allow user to create reports with extracted data and graphics.
In the Document-Tab, you can add a music/sound you can play during the execution of a script.
In the Document-Tab, you can create sentences with macros to speech and pronounce them during the execution of a script.
If your PC Audio output is connected to an amplifier, you can broadcast any recorder sound/music of speech text in your factory.
2024.5 Huge improvements in AWA-HyVision. The Hyper-vision can be deployed alone on distant PC sharing distributed Database to display data in real-time.
"Export" button added in Hyper-Vision tab to create an INI file for distant Hyper-Visions. So you can upload configuration and start Remote displays by using your USB key.
Remote Hyper-Visions are unlimited.
You can create manual configuration for Hyper-Visions screens by using the wizard to search database, project and required Hyper-Vision.
Strong improvement for Hy-Vision background picture or Gradient.
New widgets added for Hy-Vision to display values the better way: user picture, 29 gauges added,
A new macro field was added in the list.: <daynumber> returns the number of the day in the year (between 1..366).
You can use it in many fields now. Eg: to export a unique file every day, use "C:\Exports\Year <year>\Production day <daynumber>.json"
Many FTP files are included during installation. No need to connect to FTP servers to download last versions of files.
Minor bug corrections.

2024.3 AWA-Core can import symbols files from EcoStruxure ControlExpert (*.XSY) developed by Schneider electric (tm).
Minor corrections in data extactions and filtering.
In the Project tab, you can adjust the lifetime of the log file. To reduce database size, adjust the duration in days, weeks, months or years. You can leave it untouched as well.
youTube shortcuts are updated with QR-Code and direct access to tutorials.
In the Network-tab, a new tool allow you to check if a public IPv4 or a domain name is black listed or not. To ensure that your distant IOs can be reached without network banishment by ISP or other.
Main screen and bargraphs are updated and more readable in the Data-Logger
After strong optimisation, background servers such as Netview scanner are no longer CPU guzzler.
Background servers such as Netview scanner, communication servers, DBMS and so on are running constantly depending on loaded project now on.
We move servers commands from "Service" tab to the main screen in the right tab for faster access and a better view on running servers.
In PLC tab, you can choose sampling frequency between 1 second, 500 ms, 100 ms or continous readings. The data in database are timesamped according to frequency rates.
Extracted data in reports and graphs take care of high frequency sampling.
The execution of a script can be continuous or interlocked.
All servers (Netview, Com, DBMS, Mail,..) are now managed by a semaphore with Low CPU consumption and higher reactivity.
2024.2 User interface corrected in PLC tab for better logic selection
Few minor corrections in Documents tab
Increased the thickness of lines in Data-Logger in paper roll model.
In Data-Extraction tab, filtered tables and graphics are showed in different windows. So you can have many views for comparisons and from different extraction filters.
In data-extracted tables, you can easily export values to TXT, CSV, TAB, XLS, DOC, PDF, XML, JSON files or clipboard as well.
In PLC tab, a new protocol is added: "Offline files". to help you import data from external files in many different formats. The strategy after processed file is configurable as well.
When you add a new PLC, it remains inactive until you switch it. This to help you set up all different parameters.
The AWA-Com server will use this PLC once actived and, mostly, if you restart servers to take the new configurations.
In the Data-Extraction tab, you have 12 differentt graphic views for your data. Including special graph like, thermal or polar views.
Tutorials tab improved, new structure and more contents.
In PLC tab and Off-line protocol, the 'separator' has been added to let you specify which column separator is used. If the file doesn't strictly respect the norm.
Direct links in buttons to youTube tutorials are placed everywhere there's a training video. The access to specialized tutorials are easier now.
The Off-Line protocol can handle various file formats: TXT, CSV, TAB, XML and JSON. Extracted values from a column is available.
2024.1 Added a "Frequently Asked Questions" tab in AWA-Core options.
Added an "Update from our FTP server" button to force connexion and bypass 5 days-delay between automated updates.
Tutorial list is automatically updated from our FTP server to let you see any tutorial directly.
Tagname types are more filtered in combo for better selection. New types are coming.
Data lifetime can be set now to limit database size. In tagnames tab, an assistant is present to remind you oldest and newest dates.
In the Tagnames tab, you can start and stop automatic refresh of the last value for the selected tagname, helping you setting up filters and alarms thresholds.
2023.5 Graphic user interface corrected.
Two new Trigger conditions added for scripts. You can check if the Alarm State is ON or OFF for a tagname and start actions if needed.
In the documents section, user can add Word file or create one to generate automatic reports. Macro fields are allowed here as well.
Added a direct link in the "Maintenance" tab to help user sending a mail to our team at the following address: awacore@outlook.com. You can now easily send us mail while working.
Added 2 buttons to easier hide or show right and bottom panels in the main view
2023.4 User can create as many recipe as database can handle. A Recipe is a liste of address-ranges to read (and write in the near future).
This means that you can save a lot of bits, words and reals in a move.
You can create unlimited list of address-ranges to read from unlimited PLC.
You can declare a unique ID# for every recipe. So the recipe can be managed dynamically.
In a script, you can start the backup of a specific recipe.
But you can also start the backup of a recognized recipe (by its unique ID#)
The Recipe table allow complete vizualisation of backed-up registers.
Few minor improvements on tables.
For tagnames, you can add a delay (in seconds) before setting ON the alarm status.

Improvements in graphical organigram of running project in main view
An Hyper vision screen designer is added to AWA-Core. This designer allows programmer to place widgets on fully editable screens. You can create unlimited amount of hyper screens in your project.
Many widgets are available in different categories. For each of them, you can adjust some parameters depending on type of widget you're working on.
The Hyper vision server can display many different screens at the same time. All Hyper screens communicates with all servers.
At this moment, AWA-Core has 3 different categories (Misc, System and Tags).

In future versions, more widgets will be added. Stay tuned...
2023.2 Few minor bugs corrected.
Unlimited mailing addresses to help developper choose the right recipients in automated export taks.
Unlimited exports based on data extraction. User can create automated actions with exports.
Formats supported for exports: TXT, CSV, TAB, XML, JSON, XLSx, DBF
A new macro mnemonic: <export-file> is programmed. To insert the last generated filename in your scripts
The scrutineering of incoming mails allow scripts to start programmed actions by recognizing keywords in mail subject or mail object.
You can now easily send a mail to your AWA-Core installation with words like "CYCLON", or "START PHASE 3" to initiate actions on your PLCs.
In the script list, you can send automatic mails with many mail addresses in your actions list.
A new field (macro/mnemonic) <public-ip> can be used to insert your network public IP in your programmed strings.
The last exported file can be sent by mail to many mail addresses in native or compressed format.
You can ask AWA-Core to compress your exported file before sending in different formats including: ZIP, CAB, WDZ, 7Z, TAR or TGZ.
5 new macros added in this version directly linked to NetView. Every IPv4 tested in Alarm (missing or not missing) can send informations like:
<ip-tested-v4> The IPv4 address in Fault/Alarm
<ip-tested-name> The Net name of the faulty address
<ip-tested-comment> The given comment of the faulty IPv4 address
<ip-tested-type> Contains the words "Missing" or "Present" depending on the status of the faulty IPv4
<ip-tested-icm> Contains the Timestamp of the last test of this IPv4 address
A "Duplicate" button in the database tab allow you to create a copy of the selected format in the table

2023.1 First version made available on the net without limitations. All features are available with no time limit as well.
This version offers you the possibility of creating an unlimited number projects containing unlimited amount of PLCs or communicating devices.
An unlimited number of Tagnames per PLC or communicating equipment.
An unlimited number of networked devices with automatic detection of the standards used and internal exploration of the registers.
The data collected and recorded in a secure and encrypted database is unlimited in duration and size.
Data extractions are configurable. Fields are unlimited, calculated and customizable columns are standard
as well as different types of graphics.
The communication protocols, at the moment, supported in this version are:
Modbus-RTU, Modbus-TCP
The amount of automatic scripts is unlimited. And for each of them, you can define an unlimited amount of triggers and conditions.
But also, an unlimited amount of actions to run.
