Extensions-for-AutoSPRINK
Extensions-for-AutoSPRINK provides extended functionality for the CAD software AutoSPRINK®
WARNING - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK:
This program is in no way affiliated with MEPCAD and any issues that come up by using this program is solely at the user's risk as they will not get any support or reimbursement for any issues, damages, or lost time from MEPCAD.
If you make the decision to use this on real world projects, I strongly suggest you turn the autosave feature on, and give it a timer of no more than 20 minutes. Also, if AutoSPRINK crashes while using or recently after using a speech command, please, I emplore you not to bug MEPCAD about it unless you're certain it's not related to my script - bug me about it by private messaging "fpst" on the forums instead. I can't fix your drawings or lost time, but I can fix the script.
About
This is the place for all of my scripts which give additional functionality to AutoSPRINK® by MEPCAD. The current focus is on the VR12 version of the program. Currently the only feature is speech recognition, but many more features are on their way. Speech recognition with this program is different than the built-in speech functionality of AutoSPRINK®, the differences are:
- Improved recognition accuracy and speed
- Improved commands syntax
- Works in the 64-bit version and 32-bit version of AutoSPRINK®
- Completely customizable
- Unique commands, i.e. Sizing pipes and fittings without being in the properties dialog
- "Stop listening"/"Start listening" feature
Set Up
- To get started, you will need AutoHotKey to run the program. Download AutoHotKey from here: http://ahkscript.org/download/ahk-install.exe
- After installing AutoHotKey, click the "Download ZIP" button on this page, it's located on the right.
- Extract the zip files anywhere, such as to your desktop.
- Open the file "AutoSPRINK-Extensions.ahk" by double-clicking it. You should see a green and white H icon in the lower right tray of your taskbar. Right click this icon at any time and choose exit to close the script, or press Ctrl+Esc.
- Go to AutoSPRINK and try to say commands with your microphone plugged in and set up. If it does not work, check that you are using VR12 and that you have Windows Speech Recognition installed and started. To start Windows Speech Recognition, go to the search bar on Windows and type "Windows Speech Recognition" and select it.
Get Started
- Familiarize yourself with the commands located in the file "commands.txt"
- Some example commands are "Open" which opens the File Open dialog, "Pipe" which initiates the single pipe tool, or "Isometric" which shows an isometric camera angle.
- If you say "Stop Listening", the script will only listen for the command "Start Listening", so you can speak or have sound go into the microphone without causing accidental commands.
