=>1. you must have java 1.7 or above version

=>2.for c/c++ language support just 

download MinGW
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/

and install in C:\ drive.

=>3. Asterix IDE will not install on your hard disk. You just have to unzip Asterix_IDE folder 

there you would found-

2 bat file(for windows os)
Asterix IDE java.bat
Asterix IDE javaw.bat

and 

2 exe file(for windows os)
AsterixIDE java.exe
AsterixIDE javaw.exe

if you are using Windows  OS, you can run any of them to run Asterix IDE drectly.

And if you are using other OS, then 

just run 
Asterix_IDE.jar file
