AROS - Automatic Refactoring Opportunity Search - é uma ferramenta de código-fonte aberto que permite buscar por oportunidades de refatoração para aplicação de padrões de projeto - design patterns em sistemas C#. AROS foi implementada sobre a plataforma .NET Framework e utiliza a biblioteca NRefactory para varrer código fonte através de ASTs - Abstract Syntax Trees. Na versão atual a ferramenta pode detectar oportunidades para aplicar os padrões Strategy, Factory Method, Template Method, Creation Method e Chain Constructors. Utiliza o princípio OCP para fácil implementação de novos mecanismos de buscas, através de herança e polimorfismo, tornando a ferramenta extensível.
