First signed release build. Earlier builds were debug-only; this one is minified with R8 (1.7 MB instead of 20.8 MB) and signed with the project's release key.

Installing: this build is signed with a different key than the debug builds, so an existing debug install must be uninstalled first. A fresh device just installs it.

Incoming call screen

  • ARK-phone's own call screen now opens for every incoming call. It used to rely on the notification's full-screen intent, which Android downgrades to a banner while the device is unlocked — so an unlocked phone showed only answer/decline buttons and no call screen.
  • The ringing notification no longer draws a second set of answer/decline buttons over that screen.

SIM support

  • Choose which SIM places calls, in settings, alongside the system's own default. Shown only on a device with more than one SIM.
  • Every call log row, the per-number history and both call screens name the SIM the call used.
  • The blocking rules can be limited to a single SIM, so one number can stay open while another blocks unknown callers.

Call blocking and WhatsApp

  • Blocked prefixes now apply around the clock, also outside the schedule.
  • Finnish national and international number forms match each other, in the rules and in the allow list.
  • Blocking no longer rejects saved contacts when contact access is missing.
  • Rule-blocked calls from saved contacts now appear under the Blocked filter.
  • WhatsApp Business calls are called back through WhatsApp Business.
  • A WhatsApp caller known only by a name shared with several contacts is no longer assigned one of their numbers, and such calls now have their own detail view.

Smaller fixes

  • Declining with a message reports a failure instead of silently declining.
  • Granting contacts or call-log access from inside the app fills the lists immediately.
  • Rapid keypad tones during a call are no longer cut short.
  • Shared contact cards can be opened by the receiving app.
  • Settings no longer log allowed numbers or blocked prefixes.
  • Saved contact names show on Android 8–10 incoming calls.
