The following stages are intended to extend the lifespan of Areca.

Stage 1 - Preserve Areca project

  • [X] Recover the no longer available online documentation (Olivier Petrucci's original site).

Stage 2 - Fix build pipeline and errors that prevent Areca from running on current systems

Stage 2 requires stage 1.

  • [X] Support for the current Java LTS versions [8, 11, 17, 21]
  • [X] Add missing assets for building release bundles

Stage 3 - Set up a development environment

Stage 3 requires stage 2.
