This Distro is following a minimalism approach and will try where possible to use self-contained programs and is using Lucid Puppy Barebones 5.25 RETRO for its base suitable for old hardware and slightly newer. Has the added advantage of allowing the install of Ubuntu .deb packages. Has 2.6.30.5 kernel. SDL Libraries included now.

Puppy Linux 3.01 Updates
Updates to this older version of Puppy Linux built with Slackware packages. This older version of Puppy Linux is rock solid on old pentium computers upwards and through this site using the Fatfree 301 iso which is a barebones iso with applications stripped out. There is now a pango/GTK update - Please install other updates first including JWM update. Build up your own system with what you want or update your Puppy 3.01 system.
