AdbTether shares an Android phone's internet connection with a Windows PC. It routes the PC's full L3 traffic (TCP and UDP) through the phone over a WebSocket tunnel, using only the existing ADB link. No root is needed and nothing is installed on the phone: a small Rust proxy is pushed over ADB and run on demand, so Android's battery optimisation cannot freeze it.
On the PC, a Wintun virtual adapter and a user-space TCP/IP stack do the work, with no proxy app to configure. A Rust engine inside a Windows service drives it, and a WinUI 3 app controls it. Every TCP and UDP flow follows the phone, including any VPN active on it.
The tunnel is fail-closed: if it drops, the PC stays on it without connectivity rather than falling back to the physical network. DNS is pinned to the adapter behind an IPv6 kill-switch, and Disconnect removes every route and DNS entry.
Needs Windows 10 1809+ (x64), a device authorised for ADB, and administrator rights for the adapter. MIT licensed.
