#7 Add support for alternate root directory in all Makefiles

This patch adds support for specifying an alternate
root directory for the installation process.
Also adds some new targets in the top level makefile,
to make the compilation process completly independant
from the installation process.
Add support to configure against which kernel version
module should be compiled.

It should be backward compatible.
